a Simplified Model of Distributed Parameter Systems
A generalized simplified model for describing the dynamic behavior of distributed parameter systems is proposed. The various specific characteristics of gain and phase angle of distributed parameter systems are investigated from frequency response formulation and complex plane representation of the proposed simplified model. The complex plane investigation renders some important inequality cons...
متن کاملLPV approximation of distributed parameter systems in environmental modelling
Environmental systems often involve phenomena that are continuous functions not only of time, but also of other independent variables, such as space coordinates. Typical examples are transportation phenomena of mass or energy, such as heat transmission and/or exchange, humidity diffusion or concentration distributions. These systems are intrinsically distributed parameter systems whose descript...
متن کاملPipeline of Successive Approximation Converters with Optimum Power Merit Factor
In this paper, we present a low power 12 bit 5 MSPS, successive approximation converter architecture using pipeline technique. The converter consumes 4 mW at the Nyquist rate input with 1.8 V power supply. By combination of pipeline and successive architecture, the entire circuit, simulated at the transistor level in a 0.18 μ CMOS process, achieves a FoM (Figure of Merit) of 0.19 pJ/conversion.
متن کاملOptimum parameter for the SOR-like method for augmented systems
Recently, several proposals for the generalization of Young’s SOR method to the saddle point problem or the augmented system has been presented. One of the most practical versions is the SOR-like method given by Golub et al., [(2001). SOR-like methods for augmented systems. BIT, 41, 71–85.], where the convergence and the determination of its optimum parameters were given. In this article, a ful...
متن کاملOn Approximation and Optimal Control of Nonnormal Distributed Parameter Systems
For more than 100 years, the Navier-Stokes equations and various linearizations have been used as a model to study fluid dynamics. Recently, attention has been directed toward studying the nonnormality of linearized problems and developing convergent numerical schemes for simulation of these sytems. Numerical schemes for optimal control problems often require additional properties that may not ...
